Meetings & Events
The Clallam County MRC will begin hybrid (Zoom and in person) meetings March 2022. The meetings are held the on the 3rd Monday of each month from 5:30 pm to 7:00 PM in the Board of County Commissioner's Room. All meetings are open to the public.
The Clallam Marine Resources Committee, Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, and Clallam Conservation District are teaming up again this year to improve the nearshore habitat on Ediz Hook. Volunteers are needed to help plant 2,500 bareroot plants.
This planting is part of a large restoration project the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe completed in 2021 that involved removing piers and shoreline armoring such as concrete, riprap and metal, and replacing it with logs and clean beach sand. The ultimate goal of this project is to improve habitat for forage fish and marine birds, as well as create recreation opportunities. Please register here.
